Gabby is an outsider who just wants to be seen. Her book vlog has a grand total of two followers—and one of them is her mom. When Gabby wakes up one morning to find her video channel has a new subscriber, she’s thrilled. Soon, she’s trading messages back and forth with her new fan, discussing everything from books to the burdens of having a sibling. Her anonymous friend seems to get her, and the more they connect, the more Gabby finds herself giving him pieces of her heart. But when her pen pal turns out to be Marco, a junior with the most popular gossip vlog in school, Gabby realizes she’s made a mistake. Marco’s entire internet presence revolves around sharing other people’s secrets. And while being the subject of his videos might get people to finally notice her, that kind of exposure might be more than she can handle.
