Torran Anderson always wanted to write. Growing up, he was often in the lowest reading group and labeled a “reluctant reader.” He learned to read by creating stories of his own. Torran’s first YA novel in verse, Piñata Moon, won the Paterson Prize for Books for Young People. He created the collaborative game Story Grow and leads writing workshops at the Center for Storytelling Innovation.
